Server Change Testing

Hi Everyone,

This is my first Thread here on this Forum, Hope i will be greated with answer to my question.

Question:

Presently i am working on Web application, This is deployed under One Server, Now since the Load on this server is more, Company is Planning to deploy the application in another Server(Totally there will be 2 servers now).also are planning to Move some of the Clients on the current Server to new server.

So I have been given the Responsibilty to test this,

Here in our company we are not following any Standard Procedures, so i want to setup a Proper procedure, such that Our testing will be fool proof.

Please Suggest On the Same.

Re: Server Change Testing

Hi,

You are changing the server, means your server is not able to bear more load. Your test objective should be performance testing and scalability testing. Do full regression testing of your application to confirm that it is working fine or needs some server settings to be change to work.
