Re: Gui in c using linux

1> Your title gives a different meaning than the subject. The message seems more appropriate and as I understand, "You want to create a GUI application on the Linux OS in C language". Correct me if I am mistaken.

2> Do you want to use C language only?
3> What kind of application do you want to write?
4> There are plenty of other options that you can consider such as QT/Gtk/ruby/wxwidgets/.... ? Personally I would not use C for gui programming as its not a GUI programming language. I don't mean to say that you "cannot" do, but its a very cumbersome process. Using the GUI languages meant for GUI would be easier.
5> There are plenty of open source stuff for GUI and they are available easily, just google for them after you have decided on the language.

good luck
