Since you have not mentioned any other information, here are some suggestions with some assumptions of your status...
1> If you are on the Internet, you should be running a firewall and an antivirus program, as well as spybot/spam filters to stop un-necessary access to your system. You can also try to disable the guest account, if any of the services you use don't need it. 2> If your question is related to local access and your computer is on the local area network, you should be using the net guest <password> and create a strong password for the account. - secure the guest account with a strong password (including numbers, capital letters, other characters and should be lengthier at least 10+ characters. - Never leave the system open, always log off when you are away from the system. 3> If you are talking of just the stand alone access, Don't leave the system open when you are away from the seat. 4> Ensure you are giving the right permission on the file share access. You should not be leaving the files open to other users to read. |
