Hi All,

I want to know that which testing tool is the best tool for testing a web application. I have browed google many times and spend time for serching but there are many tools available there.

I am quite confusing that which one is the best one.

As my experince with some of the tools they are very tough to use and difficult to configure.

I want tool which is easy handle and also useable for me. Rite now i am a manaul tester and want automated test my projects with the good tool.

So, please suggest me some of the best tool available in market.

Note: Tool can be functional tester, load tester and any other. Mainly for using automated testing.

QTP is best tool for functional and regression testing but for client server application (Web site) you can go for Load Runner.

As you are a manual tester you can better go for QTP, because you can learn very quickly. Mercury provides documentation and it is easy to read and execute it. Any suggestions ort queries please let me know.I will help you as much as i can.

Please tell me how QTP helps me. I mean to say that if i want to test my local web site. In site i want to test one page which has dropdowns, links, checkboxes and so on.

So in this how QTP does work?

Please explain me with an example if possible.

present in the help tab of QTP..

Yes u can test u r local website using QTP.. I can explain but if u have the tool then only u will come to know what i am communicating.

Download the tool first and let me know

I have send the request for download the QTP. Our Boss wants to know something about QTP like:

a) what is the main advantage of QTP?
b) which feature of QTP more helpful to us?
c) will this also works for our local sites to check the functionality of web pages like comboboxes, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio butons and something like these objects used by web sites

I need answers these questins as soon as possible.

Please let me know about answers for the above questions. If anybody know then please let me know.

The main advantage of QTP is if you have QTP with you by default there will be a web addin to you. Which is used to automate any king of web applications.

Every feature in QTP is more useful. we use according to our scenario.

yes you can also work for local web pages to check out the functionality.
