Error in LoadRunner on Clicking "New Script"

Hi Friends,

I have Load runner 8.1 installed recently in a remote server. On Launching the Vugen and on clicking the New script I get the followign error. " Failed to open the new Vuser. Check that the TMP directory is not full or write protected".

I have deleted the temporary files in Local settings folder and also deleted temporary internet files and cookies, yet i have the same issue.

Someone please help asap.

Thanks in Advance,
Geetha

Re: Error in LoadRunner on Clicking "New Script"

Do your login id in remote server have sufficient privelages (power user or admin ) to record and replay any vugen script. Sometimes, due to security restrictions, this is not possible. In that case, the user must have at least the following rights: 1. Full access (read/write permissions) to registry keys under: hkey_current_user\software\mercury interactive hkey_local_machine\software\mercury interactive 2. Full access (read/write permissions) to the file system to be able to copy files. If there is any problem either with agent start up or connection from controller to the agent on a windows 2000 machine with a power user, try the following: 1. Open the local security settings window through start -> programs -> administrative tools -> local security policy. 2. Select security settings -> local policies -> user rights assignments. 3. Add the user to the "create global objects" policy.
