    Hi All,
    I think this might be a reasonable test cases to test the lift functionality....

    1.Check the lift should have ‘’close doors’’ and ‘’open doors’’ functionality is working or not.
    2. Check the lift is at ground floor if any requests are made from outside and then verify the lift doors should open
    3. Check when the lift carrying some load, the doors should close automatically after the load get in
    4.Check that the lift should have all the 10 stories buttons from inside
    5. Check that the lift can carry the capacity of load or not
    6. If the lift is carrying some load and the buttons are not activated then check that the lift should not move either up or down words
    7. Check if the lift is moving up word to 1st stair without stucking any where vice versa
    8. Check if the lift is moving up word to 10st stair without stucking any where vice versa
    9. Check when the lift moving to 3rd stair from ground floor then the button is activated and it should stop at the correspondent stair only
    10. If the lift is moving to up word 4th stair from ground floor and at the same time if any request is made to move down word at 2nd floor then check that the lift should stop at 2nd floor and also ‘doors open’ then ‘’system should call a message’’ eg: ‘’lift is going up’’ vice versa
    11. Verify on reaching the correct stair the lift should stop automatically and the doors should open up by saying ‘’system should call a message’’ eg: ‘’ doors are open, xxxx floor’’
    12. Verify when the lift is empty if a customer calls action from outside it should reach the correspondent stair
    13. Verify if the lift is in 10th floor and moving down word and at the same time if any is request is made to move up word at 5th & 8th stairs then the lift should stop and by the time of reaching 8th and 5th stairs ‘’system should call a message’’ eg:going down to xxx stair’’ vise versa
    14. If the life is moving down from 10th stair if any request are made at 4th,5th,6th stair then check that the life should stop and respond at each stair where the requests are made vise versa
    15. Check the lift should stops at each stair where the requests are made by
    16. Check when the lift moves 10th stair when called from 1st stair and verify it returned to 1st stair
    17. Verify the lift moves exactly to proper stairs as per the requests made by.
    18. Check all 10 stored buttons are accurate and clearly visible upon reaching their corresponding stairs
    19. Verify the lift doors should open with a reasonable amount of time as per the call made
    20. Check the lift arrives in proper direction when the requests are made
    21.Check the lift must not open doors while moving up/down words when request to "open doors" & "close doors" are pushed then nothing should happen
    22. If the capacity of the load is high than expected then the lift should not move and then ‘’system should call a message’’ eg: heavy load

    Do not forget the performance test cases such as what kind of load it can support. If overloaded how it handles that.

    Test cases for Lift:

    -> Check when you press from the outside of the lift it should be opened when it is in ground floor
    -> Verify it should give a beep when it reaches opens you
    -> Check it should display in the outer box that from which floor it comes to reach us
    -> Check when you step in to the lift after 10 seconds when it knows nothing in the door it to be closed automatically
    -> Check when you give or press the number to which upto the floor it be activated
    -> Check when you press different no`s it should be highlighted
    -> Check upto the capacity of the lift only the load is given
    -> Verify when you are going upwards on the first floor if any one pressed the lift it should stop there
    ->Verify on reaching the correct floor it should be automatically stopped and open
    -> Verify when the lift is empty when any one touches it should reach very fastly.
    -> Verify whether the appropriate buttons are available or not
    -> Check when click on open button twice it should open or not
    -> Check whether lift door open or not by click on open button while lift moving between two floors
    -> Check whether lift door open or not by press and hold on open button some time
    -> Check for the direction by pressing up and down button.
    -> Enter in the lift specify the floor say 4 and check for the corresponding floor?
    -> Lift is moving and the power break off. Does the alarm blow in the control room that there is power break off?
    -> Also check for the case how the inside person inform the lift man that he got stuck in the lift (if there is phone button does it works)?
    -> Also check for the response time to start lift again?
    -> When a person is in the lift any light is there or not?
    -> How many persons at a time will carry the lift in the since in moving time.
    -> With out load if we press the up button is it moving or not.
    -> What happen with out specifying the floor number if we press the up or down?
    -> What happen if the lift is in over load mode (over load sound will come before moving or it moves).
    -> With out load if we press the up button and specify the floor number what is happening?
    -> Is the door get closed itself or have to close manually.
    -> If the door closed automatically check for the closing time?
    -> If the door closed automatically also check for the sensor? Suppose the closing time is 2 min and it passed and people are still getting in. What happen does the door get closed or wait for the people to get in?
    -> What happen when you press the same floor number on which lift is already there?
    ->After getting into the lift one person is there he wants to go up but we want to go down already he specified the floor number before we enter in to the lift.
    -> After that we specified our floor number then what will be the priority of the lift?
    -> Lift is empty and is moving downwards I entered and want to go up. Is there the button to change the direction of lift and the button working?
    -> Is the floor number displayed up in side the lift correct?
    -> When happen when the out side person want to open the door but Inside person wants to close the door at the same time.

    Hi all
    " if i am standing on the ground floor"
    The Push Button on the Ground floor is working and the down arrow or Up arrow LEDS are working properly.
    Once the Lift reached the ground floor the Pre- Recorded Voice message is audible.
    The lift doors are automatic open or its a manual
    Once i enter into the lift, ensure the lights and Fan are Switch is on working state.
    Checking the alarm button is working
    checking SOS button is work
    Checking the capacity of the lift in terms of tonS.
