Re: what is iso model
There's no ISO model for network.
Or do you mean OSI model by any chance? |

Re: what is iso model
Hi,
in networking there is osi reference model (i.e. Open systems interconnection basic reference model). It is a layered architecture which contains 7 layers. Each layers perform some specific task and pass data to next layer. Since iso(international organization for standardization ) developed this model , it is also known as iso-osi model . please feel free to revert back in case of any issue. Thanks gaurav bhatnagar |

Re: what is iso model
Is it ISO (International standards Organisation) or OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) Model. Pls confirm |
|
|||
|
ISO tends for International Standard Organization. OSI implement seven layer of ISO model -- Application Layer, Presentation Layer, Session Layer, Transport Layer, Network Layer, Data link Layer, And Physical Layer.
First three layer is known as Data Layer and last four layer is known as Data Flow layer or Media layer . |

Re: what is iso model
osi is a referenced model although never used but helpfull and is issued bye is an organization.......it is a layered architect having seven layer
physical data.. |

Re: what is iso model
my friend....ISO is not a networking model but i think you meant the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model which was created by International Standard Organisation (ISO)

Re: what is iso model
iso model is an abstract description of layered communication and networking protocols.
it consists of seven layers namely physical, datalink, network, transport, session, presentation, application. |

Re: what is iso model
Hi iso created osi model, that defines how nodes communicate to-gether. It has seven layers: application layer presentation layer session layer network layer transport layer datalink layer physical layer each layer defines various function.

Re: what is iso model
The ISO developed the 'OPEN SYSTEMS INTERCONNECT(OSI) reference model' in 1977.
It was designed to aid understanding of a network system functions. The model is called ISO OSI (Open systems interconnection) Reference model because it deals with connecting open systems, i.e systems are open for communication with other systems. The OSI model has 7 layers. |
