IE crashes while recording with QTP

hi, we are using hp functional test suit qtp 9.50. We are facing some problem with its working. Whenever we try to record a script, the microsoft windows internet explorer browser crashes. Scenario for crashing 1. Open qtp 2. Go to automation - record and run settings 3. In the web tab select open the following address when a record or run session begins 4. Enter url 5. Select microsoft internet explorer 6. Select the check box do not record and run on browser that are already open 7. Click ok start recording 1. Click record button to start the recording 2. Record few things 3. Click stop button 4. Save the file now change the setting 1. Go to automation - record and run settings 2. In the web tab select record and run test on any open browser 3. Click ok button now to resume the recording from the point it has been left 1. Click record button. The ie crashes at that point.

Please share your views as to where it is going worng.

Re: IE crashes while recording with QTP

Kindly confirm the QTP addins because activex addin sometimes causes IE to crash so uncheck that and try recording
