Regarding Stress and volume testing in loadrunner.plz help me.
Hi,
I have a doubt in loadrunner 8.0.First let me give my definetions. Volume testing:-Keeping users as constent and increasing the data. Load testing:-Keeping volume as contest and increasing users. stress testing:-Increasing both volume as well as data to check for break point. i am testing web applications using HTTP/HTML protocols. My doubt is in order to check the volume testing and stress testing using loadrunner, Do I Need to include any extra protocols like ODBC (or) Oracle....e.t.c. (Since Volume testing and stress testing is linked with Database). if not how is it possible to test volume testing and stress testing using loadrunner. Please Let me know...the solution. and also give me one example for multiple protocols.what could be the enveronment to use multipul protocol scripts??? Rgds, Prasad. |

- It depends on your application and communication protocol used. LoadRunner doesn't give the response times / any data based on the Tiers. It only gives you the end to end performance times. Hope it gives you an idea. Let me know if you have any specific queries. - Anprea. |
