    List box in QTP

    Hi All,
I'm new to QTP and facing problem dealing with list boxes. The purpose of my test/script is to create an account and I'm suppose to select options from a drop-down listbox. Now when I record QTP does record the options that I'm selecting but when I run the script the options get unselected. So the result is that the options from the drop-down box are not selected. Please help

Do you want to select multiple values from the same list-box? If yes then, when you playback, do all values get unselected, or does one selected item still remain?

    Hi Dhruv,
Don't use recording in this situation.First spy the list box and get all the elements from the list box.In this elements verify the item that ur searching in present or not.If present select that item,(Note:Select is property of an Item in Listbox)
    Eg:ItemName.Select

May be this is helpful to u

    Hi Dhruv...

Apart from the above mentioned solutions, i would like to say , if you do not have particular Addins then QTP will not recognize few options, as one said by you the selection from the drop down boxes.

I too faced the similar problem, as iam working on .Net 2.0 application, If there are No .Net Addins then QTP do not recoginizes many options, it do record but will not run.

Hope it makes you aware of...
