memset() functionality

Hi,

I am using memset to allocate data to the buffer. Buffer size is taken as for example sbuff[21]. Now my data length is 31. Data is allocated to the buffer without any error. Can somebody explain me the reason behind the scene.

your comments are welcome!

Regards,
Sahithi.
