Thread: Where the role of a tester get started

Whats the procedure followed in the company's, i need a answer from real time experienced people

Whats the flow done in the company's, and is there any architecture? where the role of a tester get started? How the flow of wrk done in real time? well am having lot of doubts, once i get any reply i can ask

There is no rule of when to hire the test engineers....

There are situations from my past experience where they hired test engineers when they just started the project... they have not even estimated anything but had couple of test engineers and a Test lead in the initial stages of the project... and they made us to understand the domain on which we are going to work and later they were hiring to the testers as required....

There was another case where I have been in another situation where they taken the testers in the test execution phase and in another project they took some of the testers just after the BRS was ready and they were expected to design the test case and to do test execution...

hi Rida,

It hardly depends upon the company. But as per my view once the design gets approved. Then surely there will be discussion regarding the project modules. Once you are sure that you are going to test the project then drop a mail to the test manager, that i want to take part in the discussion so that you can track the issues from the beginning.
