Nothing to worry....anyway u have experience in testing rite....go through with specs and start preparing test cases...but one sugession mainly need to cover security constarints and validations and session times at server ends...

For SQL...normal knowledge is enough...writing normal querries is enough..

Basically finance is a vast area,depending of the domain you can start testing. For example :if you are in insurance domain,

the following are the guidelines you need to aware of

1) query on type of insurance
2) there are home loan insurance,car insurance,motor bike insurance,salary protection insurance,life time insurance , mobile insurance etc
3) know about basic concept of taxation for insurance ( for instance motor bike or car insurance )
4) get to know abou the strategy involved for these insurance

well if this going to be banking domain

1) know about accounting involved
2) personal account
3) business account
4) saving account
5) online banking - know about security constraints
