I want to know what is the general formula or ratio used to divide the different components in a salary structure Could someone throw some highlights on this.

Not all the components in a salary structure have general formula or ratio.BUt some of the components like PF,Gratuity,LTA,and so on have general formula or ratio calculated frm the basic salary given.

Dear member,

Basically it is differed from company to company and it is also depends on the terms and polocies of the companies.

So, there is no prescribed format for the salaries. The comapnies shall prepare their salary reports or salary slips according to their conveniance.

But, after gross amount of salary some statutory deductions are mandatory to any company. Like PF,ESI, TDS, PT.

This statutory deductions also based on slabs and acts issued by the Government by time to time.
