Question Subscript out of bounds-VAX cobol vs Alpha Cobol

Hi, Need some help here.
Anyone knows how to resolve the following issues. Greatly appreciate if anyone could helps. Thank you.
Same source program was able to run in VAX system but when migrate to Alpha server and recompiled using a
higher COBOL version 2.5, it hit run time error for subscript out of bounds...

---above conditions handler called iwth exception 0000056C:
