6 year gap in IT career

I completed my B.Tech in 2006 and worked for 3 years continuously in IT firm. After that I got 6 years gap and now want to reenter in IT field. Is it possible? What I have to do for the same?

Well, 6 years is a pretty long gap. You need to brush up almost everything that you have done so far. I would suggest to join some refreshing course or something like that.
By the way, can I know the reason of gap. I hope you wont mind, I mean its just that you need to have some valid reason for that, otherwise there is a lot of talent pool for companies to hire you know.
