in flow system when the pressure of the fluid reaches below its vapor pressure, the pockets of bubble are form, this pockets of bubble when flows with the fluid and reached high pressure region,the fluid try to rush through these pockets which create the shock waves and corrode the near by surfaces thid phenomenon is called as Cavitation
