Pneumatic cylinder - Its being actuated with the help of air as a medium,instantaneous actuation and cant expel more load since its highly compressive load carrying is limited
Hydraulic cylinder-Its being actuated with the help of oil as a medium,comparatively slower and smoother actuation and can expel more load since medium is incompressible.

Like Hydraulic cylinders, something forces a piston to move in the desired direction. So we can use pneumatic cylinders as hydraulic cylinder with some modifications like a vessel for fluid storage, a system to collect the leaked fluid in case of fluid leakage, consideration of pressure, new gauges etc.
