Is there any performance testing done in manual testing?

e.g: performance testing of gtalk. For manual testing interview only performance testing questions were asked.

Yes .. performance testing can do manually.But its not accurate as automation.

yes... we can do performance testing. But , it cost more and more then the automation.

ex: if we are testing any mail application having load for 1000 users. we cant have 1000 peoples and make them to login . it need big space to seat those people and we have to provide sources for them it cost more , so we create virtual users and test the application.
