Since the induction motor and Generator have the same constructor then running a motor as a generator is possible . if we want to run  induction motor as a generator two things should be done , First , the motor must run on a as peed higher than when it's a motor according to the equation :


N(g) = 240*F/P -  N(m)   

Second , we need to provide this generator with a magnetic flux (VAR ) , this can be provided by connecting a group of capacitors to the generator , or connecting it to a line in order to get the needed VAR .
