Split horizon rule says that "routing updates can not be sent back to an interface from where it is received". This prevents loops in the network.

Split Horizon,it is a ,away or method to avoid the Routing Loop,It generally happens in LINK State Routing Protocol, means Router Send the update or any information to another Router those receiving router does not send the
information back to sender router
