Please provide your reason with the answer, otherwise it is useless. By my logic, it should be 37 minutes and here is my reasoning. The first minute, the monkey would have climbed 6m and the second minute down by 3m. This makes a net progress of 3m every 2 minutes. On minute 37, the monkey had reached full 60m, before falling to 57m on minute 38. Then to 63m on minute 39 before falling back to 60m on minute 60.

So technically, the monkeys target was achieved on minute 37 before it lost it.

Total Height = 60mts
Monkey climbed 6 mts and fall 3 mts in alternate minutes.
This Means in every 2 mins Monkey climbed only 3mts.(6-3=2)
Point should be noted that the last Jump of the Monkey will not follow the Order as it will reach its destination.
So now the total height to be climbed with the given fashion is 60-6 = 54mts.

Now we reach at the mathematical Operation.
Monkey Climbed 3mts in Every 2 Mins.
So it climbed 54 metres in 2/3*54 = 36 mins
last Jump was yet to be calculated. So the total time required is 36+1 = 37.

ANSWER= 37.
HOPE ALL WHO REQUIRED THE CONCEPT IS CLEARED NOW. :-)

3 meters in 2 mins so monkey need to climb 60 need to climb 20 times up which is 20*3=60 but as it climbs 6 meters up at once it reaches to 60 meters in ( 54th meter (18 climbs) + 6 meters (1 climb)) 19 climbs.
(18*2)+1=37 mins

The answer is 37.

Approach: First make a table sorta thing
min mts
1 6
2 3
3 9
4 6
5 12
and so on

Here we have two arithmetic progressions (a.p) one for odd minutes and another for even minutes.

We have to look at the odd minutes as the monkey once reaches the top it need not jump down.

The a.p we have to consider is
6,9,12,15....60 now we can find which term of the a.p is 60 using
Tn=a+(n-1)*d & now that value is 19.

Once having found that we will have to go to the able made first and map these 6mts,9mts,12mts,15mts...60mts to their corresponding mins( the odd min ap)
1,3,5,7.....

Now here find out the 19th term and that is 1+(19-1)*2=37.

Answer is 19,
Simple logic every minute totally 3 meter climb,
then 18 minute totally climb = 54 meter,
at 19th minute climb = 6 meter, 54+6=60,
at 19th minute not fall down

According to the question, monkey climb 6 meters and fall 3 meters in alternative minutes.
so, monkey climb 3 meters in 2 minutes. similarly monkey climb 54 meters in 36 minutes. After 36 minutes monkey climb another 6 meters in 1 minutes. so monkey climb 60 meters in 37 minutes.
ANS= 30 minutes.

min mts
1 6
2 3
3 9
4 .6
and so on..
every 2 mins it climbs 3mts.

It takes 40 mins to reach its destination..
But it reaches 60 mts before 3 mins..
that is it reaches 60th mtr in 37th min..
bcoz, for eg. it reaches 6th mtr in 4th min and also in 1st min.. (4-1).. same for any other scenarios..

During first min. climb 6 mtr.
During second min. fall 3 mtr.
So for climbing 3 mtrs time required is 2 min. so for climbing 54 mtr (2/3)*54=36 min. and in next min.
It will climb 60 mtrs. so answer is 37 minutes.

19 Minutes == As each minute it climbs 6-3 = 3 mtrs/minutes.
Therefore 3*18 = 54 mtrs
and in the last minute it climbs 6 before falling.
Hence 19 minutes

Monkey climb 6m in first Minute and fall down 3m in next (2nd Minute
Hence in 2 monkey climb 3m
i.e
in 4 m ----> Clicmb 6m
therefor
4*9 m ----->Climb 6*9 = 54m
So in 36 minute with alternative climb and fall sequence the monkey climb
54 mt in 36 minute
next sequence is to climb i.e 6m in 1 minut
so it will take 36+1 = 37 minute to complete 60m

1 mint=6 climb
1min=3 fall
total climb in 2min= 3meter

last 6 merter monkey will not fall he reach in peak in 1 minute
he have to climb 54 meter
so
18*2min=18*3meter
36min= 54meter
last 6 metr climb in 1 min so total time take 36+1 =37 min
