First in the given problem we have to find what is constant.....

It is distance
so equating distance of both x and y

d1=d2? ----------(i)

given G has covered l mile/hr less than twice the velocity(rate) than J
=>(2j-g)=1 mile/hr? ----- (ii)

from (i),
? 2(Gvel)=(2 + 0.5) (J vel)? // 30 min is 0.5 hrs//
? Jvel =4/3 miles/hr
?

Distance covered by G is 10/3
