There comes two types of reports in Business Objects.
Standard and Non-Standard.Standard reports are standardised to use by users frequently.They need the same dynamic data all the time they run the report as per the input they give to the report.

Where as Non-Standardised reports are created by the user, only for himself and want to check and analyse the data.Once he is done with his analysis,he can save that report or delete.But if he think,its useful and going to be used by his many users or colleagues in future,then he save it permanently and that becomes the standard report else incase if he delete it,then it is Non-Standard report or even if he does not delete and if he save the report,then some users can use it or may not use it which finally we call it as Non-Standard report.
