How does Operating System work with logical & physical address?

Address that generates by CPU is called logical address and the address of the main memory called physical address

As per My understanding, Physical address is the main unique address & logical address is that understood by Computer.
We can take the example of LAN/NIC Card, which having MAC address that is physical address & IP address would be Logical address.
