When we gave df -k command, from where is the information fetched? Explain the name and path of the file Where the information is stored?

The df-k command to display the amount of disk space used for file system in Kbytes format. It fetches the information from /etc/mnttab.

This command does not work on a partition without a file system, but does work on a partition with an unmounted file system.
