We use capacitor in single phase induction motor to produce displacement in two winding which consequently produce rotating feild, now we can have a similar effect by using shaded pole method, but used only in small sized motor (40w<).

I believe, You must be trying to ask "Will induction generator generate power with only inductive load??"...

No, never....... Proper working of IG(Induction Generator) must need two thing
1. speed higher than synchronous speed
2. reactive power source(like capacitor) connected to stator winding.

Why so?????????

Stator of IG must need something for creating flux inside. So, there should be reactive power source connected, so that stator can receive lagging reactive current(magnetising current). If you will connect inductive load across it, that inductive load itself receive all magnetising current, then who will provide magnetising current to poor Induction machine to create flux, If no flux, how will emf be induced.

Hope i made it clear for u,
That's why, IG always supply active current to main but always receive reactive current at the same time.
