Correct me if i misunderstood your question. I think you want to know whether the usage data will improve the graph performance. I think definitely the usage of data will definitely improve the graph perfomance. If you data set in lookup is minimal and only the required data is kept it will definitely improve the performance.

if you lookup contains all the unnecessary data then it will degrade the performance.
