How many IP addresses we can give to a system that having windows xp professional ? and why ?

You can assign as many as IP Address to XP machine as much as NIC you have installed in your machine.

you can also team the NIC and assign single IP address to configure network traffice balancing for that particular machine's incoming or outgoing traffic requests.

We assign two IP address in the Network for any Workstation.

Ip address is a 32 bit of physical address is called ip address. it is identification of system in the network and it is divided 4 octet and each octet of 8 bit.

ip address is two version
1. ip version 4
2. ip version 6

ip address is used for communication purpose and identify the system.
For one nic we can assign only one ip
it can depend on number of nic cards

One IP is required for the communication.We can give more IPs to machine by adding NIC to system.
