Process and a Program
What is the difference between process and program? Is this difference important in single process operating system? Why? Why not?

Program is passive process.
Process is active process.

program at execution time is known as processing
program is nothing but a collections of instructions and data

Process is a passive entity whereas Program is an active entity

Process can fork out to enable exec of their children.

Program is passive entity. After executing the program it becomes process means it is active entity.
