What are private and public IP address, How do they differ from one another?

Private address are used by organizations to maintain own lan which are not in conection with public network.these set by IANA ranges from 10.0.0.0 t0 10.255.255.255,172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255,192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255.

Public address are assigned by IANA & ICAN used to the systems which are in contact with the internet (public network). These are divided in to 5 classes A,B,C,D,E.
