RE: Selective Recording Mode
In QTP three types of Recording modes
1) Normal Mode or Selective mode, which is by default mode
2) Analog Recording Mode
3) Low Level Recording Mode

Analog Recording: we use this type of recording when we want exact mouse cordinaton. For example recording a signature produced by mouse.

Low Level Recording: We use this type of recording when QTP not able to recognize object.  In Low level recording you can record any type of object whether it is recognized by QTP or not.
