Hi

I think this question asked for how a MS word doc can tested by a manual tester?  if this It is not possible to tell the ans for this type of general questions.

some of the cases:

-> Verifying the invoking of new document
-> Verify whether doc is updatng properly with given data
-> Verify whether doc is saved in given location with given data
-> Verify typed text was checked for typo mistakes auto matically
-> .......................

ms-word documents have very importance in testing because we have srs frs and brs in word document those are required for testing in different phases

Here in our project we will be using in MS-Word documents for preparing the Test Cases/TOM MOM.
