Dear Friend

ODS is nothing but the data storage where suppose data coming from different sources we let those sources sync in one data store.

I think so there is one data cleaning tool which comes before this as well as some companies also use data integration tool for integrating the data which comes from different sources like relational (Oracle)
Siebel Flat File XML Excel.

ODS is nothing but only a criteria of source data which holds only current data you can take example as reservation system of indian railway.
