RE: Case and Decode
DECODE works with expressions which are scalar values.
CASE can work with predicates and subqueries in searchable form:
CASE is an ANSI standard, where as Decode is proprietary for Oracle
We can use expressions as part of case statements, where as Decode looks for a value.
