m - metric thread ( type of thread)

33 - dia of the bolt is 33 mm ( dia of the bolt)

2-   Pitch of the thread is 2mm ( pitch of the thread )

First digit indicate Dia of the bolt and second one indicate length

THE FIRST Digit refers to the core dia of the bolt and second  the pitch in mm(millimeters).......
