Informatica objects File Format

What is the file extension and format of the files for the Informatica objects like Mappings, sessions etc in the repository ?

Repository is nothing but a database, rather a relational database, and in a relational database anything and everything is stored in tables. And tables are nothing but files with pointers. So in a repository these objects are stored in table, so they do not have any file extension.

Yes, but when we export these objects from informatica, they are saved in .XML format.

If you store them in repository, it obvisouly is in terms of relational tables.
But if these objects are stored/exported outside the repository, as files; that is when they are stored as xml format files.
