This question is not proper but here is a answer
Because sequential file has no key. sequential file are converted in a hash file and hashed file are used as a hash Lookup.

Hi Rashmi


Can u please tell me ur telling about server jobs or parallel jobs.

If it is server jobs means seq file can't be used as lookup(ref link) bcoz it doesn't accept that link only hash file is used for lookup.


whereas in parallel we can use oracle seq dataset fileset .. as a ref links(for lookup)

Hash files are available only on DS-Server
