bcoz 2 trains at same speed
in first case platform was nt moving

Speed of first train: 75/7.5 10 m/secs
Length of another train tobe pass by train one: (120-100) + 120 140m
So the time takes: 140 / 10 14 secs.

formula for crossing time (x+y)/(u+v)
x 100 y 120 u 75/7.5 10m/s
v (120*7.5)/100 8.33m/s
therefore time 12sec

First answer is correct..
175m in 7.5 secs
220m-- ? secs
9.42Seconds

Frankly no answer is possible. Because the data given is incomplete. It does not mention what speed the other train is coming.

Unless and until that data is received we cannot go ahead with solving.
