A+10=2(B-10)

A-B=9 i.e. A=B+9,

now,
putting it in earlier eqn.

B+19=2B-20

so B=39,

after 10 years B will be 39+10=49.

Ans =49

There will be two anwers as the difference is given. It's not given specifically that
A-B=9 or B-A=9

With A-B=9 :
eqns will be: 2B-A=30
and A-B=9
it will give B=39
hence Ans=39+10=49

With B-A=9 :

eqns will be: 2B-A=30
and B-A=9
hence B=21
hence Ans=21+10=31

two answers
1. If A= 12, then B=21
2. If A= 48, then B= 39

thus, 10 years later, B will either be 49 or 31

let the age of b=x
let the age of a = x-9
then the equation is
(x-9)=x
after 10 years in a and before ten years in b
new equation will be
(x-9+10)=2(x-10)
then
the value of x =21 years
and after 10 years will be 31 years

let present age of a & b is 'A','B' respectively.after 10 yrs age of 'a' is A+10;before 10 yrs age of b is B-10.

given that A+10=2*(B-10)

and A-B=9

by solving above two we get B=39;

so after 10 yrs the age of b is 49

answer:49let A's present age=xAfter 10 years A's age=10+xLet B's age before 10 years =y-10(present age=y)a/c to problem,10+x=2(y-10)=>x-2y=-30--------------1st eq.alsox-y=9----------------------2nd eqsolving 1st and 2nd eqwe get x=48 and y=39so B's age after 10 years is y+10 i.e; 39+10=49

Let the age of A now is X.

age of B=X-9.

Aft 10 yrs A?s age =x+10.

B4 10 yrs B?s age =x-19.

Given, Xx+10=2X-38

This gives X=48

A?s age 48 now. B?s age 39 now.

After 10 yrs B's age will be 49.

Let present age be A= x yr, B = y yr. Since A is Twice theage of B at some point A is older than Bx-y = 9x+10 = 2 (y-10)y = 39 present age. After 10 yr B's age = 49

We get two values for B.We are given only the difference between A & B,But not who is older.So, the difference can be (A-B) or (B-A).Hence, we get B values as 39 & 21 respectively. NOw, just go back to the question and verify to check the required conditions.

The answer, i.e age of B after 10 years is 49.

After 10 years A will be twice the age of B before 10 years.and now if the difference is 9 years between them then what is the age of B after 10 yearsConsiderAge of A is ==> xnow if the difference is 9 years between themSo Age of B will be ==> (x-9)After 10 yearsA will be twice the age of B before 10 yearsx + 10 = 2 ( x - 9 )x + 10 = 2x - 1828 = xmeans now Age of A==> x = 28After 10 years i.e. Age of A will be 38, which is 2(x-9) ==> 2 X 19Means now age of B is (x-9)==> 19Ans is Age of B (now) >>> 19 A Bnow 28 19after 1o years 38 29

Dear Trivani
Please check the answer and reply me back about the question

Ans:
A+10=2(B-10) &
A-B=9 i.e. A=B+9,
now, putting it in earlier eqn.
B+19=2B-20
so B=39,
after 10 years B will be 39+10=49.
Ans =49

let the current age of A and B is  x and y.

so according to question

  after 10n yrs the age of A becomes twice the age of B before 10 years so---

        X+10=2(Y-10)

==> X-2Y=-30   Eqn-1

according to second condition the difference b/w there age is---9 yrs

X-Y=9  Eqn-2

now solving equation 1 and equation 2 the result is.....

age of A is 48 and of B is 39

A+10=2(B-10)

& A-B=9

so    A-2B=-30
       A-B=9

         -B=-39

       so B=39+10
            B=49

According to given statement A+10=2(B-10) and also given that DIFFERENCE IS 9 then A-B=9 OR B-A=9 then problem is as follows  substitute in the above A=B+9 then
B+19=2B-20 then
B=39
OR
If we consider
B-A=9 then
B=A+9 then
B+1=2B-20 then
B=21

let A's and B's present age be a,b years respectively.

then a-b=9--->1

a+10=2(b-10) ie. a-2b=-30--->2

1-2=>

 b=39;

so the age of B after 10 years will be 49

Let present ages be 'a' and 'b'.
after 10 yrs A's age will be  a+10
and that of B will be b+10

age of B before 10 yrs  = b-10

so given condition is
a+10=2(b-10)

second condition is
a-b=9

solving these two equations we get
b=39

so after 10 yrs B's age will be 39+10=49
