The diagonal painting in one side can be shown as

try to imagine for adjacent sides u find no two or three side painted red

Therefore the answer is

1. 8 because only 4 diagonal cubes are painted red that wont form  a 3 sided painted initially there are 8 3 sided cubes painted black .so 8

2. 24 because there are no two sided red cube but initially there are 24 two sided black cubes.

3. 24-12=12 because initially there are 24 one sided cube painted black and 12 cubes painted red after diagonal cubes painted

4. 64-12=52 initially there are 64 cubes then after diagonal painting (4*3=12) gets changed.

Out of 64 from one face 4 diagonal cubes are removed. Diagonal layer from one layer is removed and painted as red. Remaining cubes are painted black.

1) Total 8 corners are painted in 3 side initially.After removing the diagonals only from one face we have 4 corners to its opposite remaining two corners, in which cubes are bieng removed.

2) Total number of 2 side coloured faces is 24. After removing red cubes,cube pattern remains unchanged as you can try with the above fig. shown.

So, difference is 24-0=24.

3) Total number of cubes coloured in one side is 4+4+4+4+4+4=24
after red cubes removed the difference is 24-2=22(as in the front face 2 one side coloured faces are red).

4) Total 68 cubes will be unchanged.
