RE: What is the difference between software Matrix and software Metrics?
Software Metric is a function of different measures which helps in Monitoring and Controlling the Project Successfully. The various measures are delivery variance, effort variance, testing efficiency etc.

Software Matrix or Test Matrix or Tracability matrix is a document which is used to map the functionalities and test cases. The main purpose is to check whether all the functiionalities are covered under testing or not. It is to ensure that all the functionalities are tested.
