If u r referring to the Business Process Testing theory, it is an idea where you can divide your application/testing scope into different business components.

Each component then basically will hold a bunch of "used cases", which have a bunch of "requirements" mapped to them, which have a bunch of "test scenarios" and each test scenario will map to a bunch of "test cases".

The idea is to quickly and effectively track the changes in used cases from a SME level for a specific application area or business componenent which can then seep down to the test case level.

The manual / automation team can then pick up this change and effectively address it within their scope.

This benefits the entire organization to keep track of and address changes to specific business areas or componenets and helps better management of the system.

I hope this answer helps,
Thanks,
Aditya.
