Skip provides a space between lines, while reserve executes  a page break on the current page if less than <n> lines are free between current line and the page footer.

SKIP command used to leave one blank line.
Reserve is used to protect the bage break between the set of lines. For example if there is no sufficient space in the current page for set of say n lines. Then the entire set of lines will be printed in the next page.
