When do we need to use 2 or more data providers to make a report??

One case, would be when data is fetched from different databases. A single dataprovider cannot fetch data from two different databases.

Another case would be if the report requires more than one condition to be used (in the "where" clause ) from the same database.

One case, would be when data is fetched from different universes. A single data provider cannot fetch data from two different universe.

Another case  if the current universe can having the different context.for each context we can use the one data provider. if we can't use the data provider for each context we can get the error or carision product

You should use more than 1 data provider when you feel that you need different data set to design your report properly. These data providers can be from different database/universe or same database/universe.
