let us solve =>

total weight => 264
packets => 150 (having 1kg and 2kg mix)

so=>
1) 264 - 150 =>114
2) try ={  114*1 + (150-114)*2) = ?
                114 + 36 * 2 = ?
                 114 + 72 = 186. (since this does not weights to 264, so we will replace1 with 2 )
            }

try ={  114*2 + (150-114)*1) = ?
                228 + 36 * 1 = ?
                228 + 36 = 264. (since this weights to 264, so we got the answer as 114(because they have asked related to 2kg) )
            }

          THANK YOU.

x= 2 kg Packs
y= 1 kg packs

x + y = 150     .......... Eqn 1
2x + y = 264   .......... Eqn 2

solve the Simultaneous equation;

x = 114

using Eqn 1,

114 + y = 150
so, y = 36

ANS :  Number of 2 kg Packs = 114.

total 150 packets..
say x number of 1kgs..so 150-x no of 2kgs..
given total wt is 264..i.e x*1+(150-x)*2 =264...x will come around to 36...
so 150-36 number of 2kgs..i.e 114..ha ha piece of cake!!!

Let the total no. of 2 kg packets be x
so the total no of 1 kg packet = 150 – x
therefore (150 – x) * 1 + 2 * x = 264
150 + x = 264
x = 114.

Let the number of 2kg packets be x;
then the remaining 150-x pockets wil be of 1kg
so total weight is
(150-x)*1+2x=264
Hence
x=144

Let the number of 1 kg packets be x.
then the number of 2 kg packets is (150-x)
now x * 1 + (150-x) 2 = 264
       => x + 300 -2x=264
       => -x=264-300= -36
       => x=36(no. of 1 kg packets)
no. of 2 kg packets = 150 -36= 114

Its too easy..
If we consider that all are 2KG packets so we get [ 264/2=132 ]
here 132 packets of 2KG
but we have 150 packets so 18 packets are left.
If we split 18 packets of 2KG then
we get 36 packets of 1KG
so [ 150-36=114 ]

x+y= 150
x+2y= 246
so 150-y + 2y = 246
y = 114
36 bags of 1 kg and 114 bags of 2kg
