A VoiceXML document/page  contains a set of dialogs. Dialogs are the basis of VoiceXML applications. Dialogs enable the exchange of information between users and the VoiceXML platform. VoiceXML applications contain either or both of two types of dialogs

  1. Menus—users hear choices and make a selection
  2. Forms—users are prompted to supply a value for each of several fields in the voice equivalent of a paper form.
