Before the farmer sells the chickens, each chicken would have consumed 1/(1 sack*c*9) of the feed per day.
now he reduces the feed by 10% therefore feed is 0.9 of the sack, number of chicken = 12, lasts for 30 days. now each chicken consumes 1/(12*0.9*30) per day

equating both, we get 36
