RE: What is the use of Testgrid in TD?
Test grid in TD has different modules like Test grid toolbar, History, Grid Filter and Description. In the History tab we can see the changes made in any test at any particular time. The description tab gives the detailed description of the selected test. Grid filter is used to filter the tests depending on what is to be viewed.

The test grid displays all the tests in QC project. You can view and modify test information in the test grid.

Its just an another view available in TD. It mostly helps in filtering/searching.
