The Answer is 6:40 AM

The destination place is 80 degree west to the starting place. Hence the time difference between these two places is 5 hour 20 min. (=24hr*80/360).

When the flight landed, the time at the starting place is 12 noon (2 AM + 10 hours).

Hence, the time at the destination place is 12 noon - 5:20 hours = 6: 40 AM

THERE IS A DISTANCE OF 80 LATTITUDES BETWEEN START N END PORTS.
HENCE A TIME GAP OF 80*4=320 MIN.=320/60 hrs=5.333 hrs.
after 10 hrs the start port's time is 2am+10hrs=12pm
thus end port's local time =12pm-5.33hrs=6.67=7:07am.

This is the correct ans but hasn't been included in the options..
PLS Xplain the logic of 6:40

thanks

hey SWATI, u messed up an imp thing!
1 hour = 60min.(and not 100min.!!)
so, 0.33 hr = 20 min (not 33 min)
and 0.67 hr = 40 min(not 66 min)

And Mr Bera's calculation is based on a simple caln:
360 deg of longs give 24 hrs of time diff
hence
1  deg of longs give 24/360 hrs of time diff
and 80 degs give 24*80/360hrs...........
OK??
and moreover your funda of 4 min per long is also the same!
but, my dear lady remember its long that results time diff
and lats give climate diff.
ciao,
bm

Latitudianal degree value = (10+70) = 80
Each degree time difference is, 4 minutes
So, time difference = 80 X 4 = 320mins = 5 hrs 20 mins
The time at the starting place is, 2am + 10 hrs = 12pm noon
So, destination place is, 12pm - 5hrs 20 min = 6:40 am
